What Makes You Feel Loved?

You’ve got so much going on.

How do you get there, so that you are Feeling Loved? You’re so busy, I know it . You’re a mom, you’re a wife, maybe a dad, a husband, a career professional and so on. You have so much to do, especially for those important people in your life. But do you ever stop to give Yourself some special time. Time that you deserve and time that I know you need. I know that I can feel “selfish” at times when I want to have some quiet or me time. But being selfish, if it’s to help you and help your life, is not necessarily a bad thing. I know in my life, in the past, I have been told I was selfish for wanting and needing certain time for me. But it’s not true.

Feeling Loved. You Deserve It

Go ahead. Find out what you need.

I enjoy very much spending time with those that I love, and that is especially true when it comes to my love partner. I have found that to feel loved I need to have that time and attention just for me. That is very important. I am proud that I have been able to realize that about myself. But it is such a bigger accomplishment for me to be able to Ask for it and know that I deserve it. I have a very special person in my life and he always tells me “You deserve it”. And you know what, he is helping me see that I do deserve it. That shows me how unselfish he is and how caring his love is for me.

Do you get what you want and need from your loved ones? From your partner? Maybe they don’t know what that may be. It’s okay to ask for it. It’s okay to want it.

This is what I do.

I have also found that being alone and having quiet time for me helps my week. It helps me feel rested and recharged for those that are important in my life. And my mood is much better as well. Here is what I do. I don’t do it everyday because I am on the go so much. But I do it once a week. After dropping off my girls at school in the morning, I am able to come home for a few hours. I make myself some hot and sweet coffee, I love Gevalia and maybe a small snack of honey roasted almonds like these, yum yum. And I take them to my bedroom where I sit on my comfortable bed in my quiet room. I do a meditation where I focus on my breath and clear my mind and completely relax.

Then after I am done I will have my snack and I will read. I love to read. It puts me in such a calm and positive space that replenishes my soul. Let me share with you what I am reading right now. It is The Tapping Solution for Manifesting Your Greatest Self by Nick Ortner. This book is so amazing so far. It is easy to read and I enjoy doing the tapping exercises, I am healing my Life!! I get so excited, haha :).

So that is my simple 30 minute relaxation me time that I do for myself. Sometimes I can do an hour and it is so wonderful for me and my day.

What can you do today for Yourself? So that you are Feeling Loved?

It can be anything really. You can take a 5 minute walk outside if the weather permits. What about reading or writing for 5, 10 minutes or more? You can draw if that is what you like. I enjoy drawing very much. I will sometimes work on my Mandalas, take a look at this. Even though I am just starting out, I really do like how relaxing and inspiring it is. I also find that putting on music helps me feel better. So I do that for me. And if it’s dancing that I am in the mood for, I will dance for a song or two. I really like 90’s and 2000’s music, the dancey once especially put me in a good mood.

Those are just a few of the many things that we can do, that you can do to make yourself a priority. It is okay to make sure you are happy first and taken care of first. Your life will be so much better for it.

Yes You Can Get Relief from Digestive Issues

Digestive Relief

You want digestive relief. Of course. You suffer from digestive issues pretty often. And you feel that you get sick a lot.

I understand what you are going through. ¬†I had a lot of stomach issues that I have been able to clear up withing the last 6 months or so. ¬†The pain was so much for many many years. ¬†I would go to the doctor and they always told me the same thing. They would say you must have ate something that upset your stomach. You are normal, this will pass. ¬†But it didn’t pass and how sad that it had to be normal. ¬†It was awful pain and on most occasions it lasted up to a month at a time where it was every single day. ¬†Nothing that I would do or take would help me.

How it started

It started out mildly when I was about 13 or so.  I remember that mostly everything I ate would upset my stomach.  As I went off to college I still became sick and found myself taking the little light blue medicine daily.  Then as I became older, had my sweet girls and was married it seemed to only get worse.  Towards the end of the marriage I went to a different doctor that said I had I.B.S.  I felt a bit relieved that at least I knew what was going on but still was getting sick.

Here is the Why

I was prescribed medicine that helped me but I took it once my symptoms were awful and it put me right to sleep. ¬†I changed my diet because I noticed that food with gluten was causing me to be sick. ¬†The doctor had mentioned that there is no known cause for I.B.S. but that it could be a food allergy or the result of stress. ¬†I couldn’t really see at that time that it Was stress in my life and my relationship at that time that was causing this to appear in my body.

Moving Forward

How do I know that?  Well due to a scary emotional and physical situation, I asked for a divorce and left my girls dad.  About 2 months after that moment, I noticed that I not only wanted to try gluten filled foods but felt that somehow I could and I would be o.k.  I prayed that I would be healed from whatever was causing me to get sick.  I asked for strength and guidance.  And slowly, with great faith, I started including breads and tortillas etc, into my diet.  And I was shocked but not really surprised that my body was o.k.  I was super happy and gentle with myself.

Relief Begins

During this time I also started using essential oils for my stomach issues.  Especially Ginger.  Ginger is so helpful with digestive issues.  It was in a mixture that was given to me as a gift by a special person. I rolled this onto my belly and onto the bottom of my feet when I did get the symptoms.  I no longer had to be taking that strong medication for I.B.S. And I had decided I no longer had I.B.S and that I could eat everything and be well.  Your mind really is in control of your body.  I was very impressed by how well the essential oils help me to be healthy.  I believe in them so much now and try to share with my family, my friends and now You.

Try This for Digestive Relief!

I put about 2 drops of the essential oil Ginger on a cotton ball now if I get an upset stomach and rub it onto my belly. ¬†The smell can be strong, but it’s worth sticking it out because you will experience relief.

It’s Okay not to be Okay

Things Can Get Tough

Not feeling okay. You’ve had those days before. ¬†The ones where you feel down. The days where there are things going on in your life that are tiring you out. They make you feel anxious and stressed. They cause all types of worries and frustration. ¬†You try to push those feelings away and try to push in the positive ones. ¬†Sometimes it feels like a battle inside. ¬†You are just not there no matter how hard you try. Then all that internal fighting gets you down and gets you tired.

I know exactly how you feel.  You are not alone.  There are others who are feeling this way. We are going through different things but the feelings we experience are the same.

Be Kind

Don’t beat yourself down about it. Don’t feel bad if you can’t get out of that sadness as fast as you would like. ¬†All of your feelings are valid. It’s okay that you are not where you want to be. Just don’t give up trying to get out. Sometimes all you need to do is accept that you feel that way. Give yourself that permission. ¬†Say to yourself “I know that I am not okay right now. I know that it is not how I want to feel. But I am okay.”

You want to feel good and happy. ¬†You want to feel strong and in charge. ¬†And in the meantime while you make your way out of the bad feelings to those good feelings, be kind to yourself. Take care of yourself and do something that will make you feel good, even if it’s just a little better.

You’re Not Alone

For me, when I feel down and maybe worn out because of stress, frustration and sometimes fear, I go sit and relax. ¬†I get out my journal and I write everything out. ¬†In whatever way it comes out. ¬†It needs to come out of your body and not get stuck in their and cause harm. I feel that it helps me to let out those feelings. It’s a healthy and helpful way to deal with it. In the past I have held it in and pushed it way down to try to ignore it. They come up and they affect my health, especially my skin and digestive health.

But I have decided and have the tools to deal with them no matter how hard it is. I give myself the permission to work those out. ¬†I don’t want them in my thoughts or in my body. Get out! I deserve better! I deserve to be well and healthy and happy!

Not Feeling Okay. That’s Okay.

You deserve that as well. ¬†Just take those steps to figuring out what will work for you. Maybe it’s journaling like I do. Or maybe exercising will help. I use affirmations and read super helpful uplifting books as well. Maybe just watching something funny on t.v. or online will make a difference. It all helps, it all adds up. ¬†In the end we will be happy and healthy people, for ourselves, for our wonderful families.

How I use Peppermint Oil

Peppermint Essential Oil. I can’t say enough about this oil or any of the essential oils. I have not used them for very long but I am learning to love them. ¬†A wonderful person in my life introduced them to me a few months ago. ¬†I’ve enjoyed ¬†learning about all the different types of essential oils and what their benefits are. ¬†They are part of my every day life.

I use them to spray around my house because they smell so good.  A also use them when I clean my house.  They are used everywhere, in the bathroom, in the bedrooms, kitchen, you name it. In the bedding and around shoes and toys, I spray them all up.  Around my doorways and outside too.  I use it to keep away any insects that want to come it. Not welcome! lol.

So Helpful

So, let me tell you about this great oil that I always have with me. ¬†It is Peppermint Oil. ¬†I truly enjoy the minty and fresh smell of it. ¬†When I use it in my diffuser it fills my whole room with such a refreshing smell. ¬†It makes me feel alert and focused, which I love. ¬†In the morning when I need to get work done, this oil helps me to stay focused and to get my things done. ¬†But it also helps during the afternoon when I feel the weight of the day starting to come down on me. ¬†That way I continue to make my day productive and get all my things done. I’ve noticed how much my girls enjoy it as well. ¬†And that to me is a great benefit.

Helps Me Feel Better

Sometimes when I start feeling a headache or nausea I love applying the oil to the back of my head and temples. ¬†I mix it in with coconut oil so that it doesn’t cause any skin irritation. ¬†It can feel a bit tingly on my skin and then it helps ease the discomfort that I was feeling. ¬†I have a mixture that was gifted to me that includes the peppermint oil mixed in with the coconut oil. ¬†It is for focus. ¬†It says on the bottle Study Focus. ¬†I have benefited from using it when I have to drive and have a lot of appointments or running around to do. ¬†It has helped me like I mentioned, when I have to sit for a while and get some work done as well.

A Great Tool in my life. I enjoy learning new things especially if they will help me in my life.  I hope that you feel the same way.  You are here with me learning with me and reading what I have to share so I feel that you do as well.  Thank you so much for taking the time to join me in this little place, this garden of ours.  I truly appreciate your company.

A few years ago, right before becoming pregnant with my sweet and oldest daughter, I decided that I wanted to lose some weight. ¬†I was not happy with my body. ¬†I didn’t feel good in my body. ¬†The way that my clothes fit was not making me happy. ¬†In fact, I just wanted to hide any chance that I got. ¬†That is not a good way to feel. ¬†It is very sad and very lonely. ¬†It’s like living in a battle with yourself everyday.

I have felt that I had a weight issue my whole life. ¬†I remember being about 9 and wanting my mom to buy me slim fast so that I could lose the weight that I felt was making me feel ugly. ¬†What a sad thing for a little girl to think and to feel. ¬†And now having my own two little girls younger than that, I don’t want them to ever feel that way. ¬†But I have learned and still am learning that this is something that we have to move through on our own.

You Can Get Healthy

We have to learn that we are worthy of caring and loving ourselves.  First we have to accept ourselves for who we are including what we look like.  But then we have to know that we are worth the time and effort to get healthy.  To get healthy physically but also mentally with ourselves.

Strength Control

For me it was learning how to listen to my body and give it what it needs. ¬†I always felt that I couldn’t control my appetite and had to eat everything that I wanted and a lot of it. ¬† It was bad, to the point of sadness and making myself physically sick. I know now that there are issues that I was dealing with and still sometimes deal with that I try to cover up with eating. ¬†Eating is for nurturing our bodies and for giving our bodies the energy it needs. ¬†I have learned to control my eating better and there are still days that I let it go out of hand. ¬†But then I realize what is going on and that I need attention somewhere else in my life. ¬†I have other ways that I am learning to succeed with that.

But what I want to share with you today is a great tool that I has helped me so much.  I came across this when I first learned that eating was not the answer to everything that I was dealing with. That I could be in control of it and of my body.  I learned that I am not a victim and that I control my body and what I put into it.  This great tool is the wonderful book:  Eat Stop Eat by Brad Pilon.  This completely opened up my mind to a different and better way of living.  I love how it helped me feel in control and strong.  I love how it gave me the tools I needed to take back my life after so many years of overeating and hiding in shame.

Great Tool. Help Yourself!

There are so many great tools out there and so many not so great.  And you have to do your research and listen to what will speak to you.  I feel that there are so many things that will work.  But not everything will work for everyone.

But this helped me and if it could help you too I want to share it with you. Remember to Breathe

Just Breathe

Don’t Forget to Breathe

The number one thing that is hard to remember when having a bad day is to breathe.  And it is what you need the most.  It helps to clear your mind.  Have you noticed that when you are thinking stressful thoughts that you stop breathing for a moment or your breathing becomes small?  I notice that sometimes when driving or when starting off my day when everything is quiet.

This is the time that I make myself take a large or deep breath.  It says to my mind and body that it is o.k., that I am o.k.

Great Tool for Relaxation and Breathing!

That things are really not as bad as they seem.  That I deserve to have a good day and have good things happen to me.  And you deserve to have a good day and good things happen just as well.

 

Breathe, Let Go

It can feel as if you get stuck in sad or stressful feelings for whatever the reason. ¬†You don’t have to though. ¬† First of all, it is o.k. and maybe healthy to acknowledge how you are feeling. ¬†It also is helpful to accept those feelings. ¬†Not because you like them or want them, but because it will lessen the strength they may be having on you at the moment.

I Accept my Feelings

Once you accept how you are feeling it gives you a sense of relief.  It makes it o.k. for you to feel that way.   The worry and anxiety can feel like a battle within yourself. Accepting that you feel like that can help lessen that battle.  Be kind and gentle with yourself and what you are going through.  What you think and what you feel is important.

You are important. Take the time to do what is best for you. Your body and your mind. 

This can help you so much! Go ahead and do it for you!

It Is Only Change

Change Trust The Process

Life is about Change

Oh, Change. You know that feeling. But me, I love to have routine in my life.  If I have a pretty normal way of going about my day it helps me feel balanced.  There are times, especially like now in my life, that big changes have to happen.  They can be stressful and full of anxiety.  They can also be somewhat scary at times.  There are days that the anxiety can take over my thoughts and my feelings.  And there are other days when I feel stronger.  I know that you can feel that way too.  These changes can be pretty much anything that you are going through.

You are not alone and I know that I am not alone, even though it can feel that way sometimes.  And like I said there are changes in your life that are necessary.  In my case I needed to make sure that I was safe and that I was not alone.  I needed to make sure that I was in a good place for me but especially for my young girls.

Sometimes, things happen in life that we never plan would happen.  And these things can make us sad and scared.  It can feel disappointing and discouraging.  It is o.k. for you to feel that way.  Your feelings are valid.  You are important and what you feel is important.  These feelings inside, instinct, can be saying that you are not where you should be and that you need to do something about it. This is the time for action on your part. I know it can be challenging.  But you are always being guided and protected by Life.  All you need to do is ask for that help and protection. Trust that it will be provided for you :).

You CAN Do This

Life is not meant to be lived full of fear or sadness. ¬†You have gifts in you that you have to share with the world. ¬†One of them is love. ¬†And the first step is showing yourself Love. And showing those important in your life that Love. ¬†You can overcome this challenging situation. ¬†You are not alone. ¬†The strength and peace that you are looking for is right inside of you. ¬†Reach in, and grab it fully. ¬†Life is about change, it is is necessary. ¬†And when you come out to the other side of it you will see that you are o.k. and even better than before. Don’t lose that trust in Life.

The Life Changing Words of Dr. Joseph Murphy

Power!

Hi! How are you doing today?  I hope that your day has been great so far. Mine is just beginning.  I have made my bed, awesome sauce! and meditated this morning.  I have done some deep breathing and a great abs workout.  Feeling awake and ready to go! Power!

So , now I feel centered and focused and ready to share with you what is on my mind today.

Have you heard of the book The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy?  This is an older book, first published in 1963.  I have the paperback and it has pages that are no longer white and wanting to fall out.  Looks a bit silly I think. But this book I first read years ago, maybe before my oldest daughter was born.  She is now 6 years old.  So, when I first read it was right after I read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.  This was such an eye opener and an introduction to a new way of thinking and living for me.

Be Open and Change Your Life

The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind enforces the fact that our thoughts make our life. ¬†We are 100% responsible for what our life is and what it looks like. ¬†What we focus on in our thoughts is what we truly experience. ¬†It talks about how those that are poor are always thinking “I can’t afford it”, “I am poor”, etc. ¬†But it also says that those that are wealthy focus on wealth. ¬†Their mindset is the opposite than those that are not wealthy. ¬†Even if they don’t have it yet, they focus on wealth. ¬†They say to themselves things such as “I am wealthy”, “I am growing richer everyday”, “Money comes to me easily”.

So for me, taking responsibility for what my life is and has been regarding my financial state has been a big eye-opener. ¬†I can see now how my life has been a bit of a struggle because of these beliefs. ¬†I have also seen positive changes. Especially recently because I have let go of things that I didn’t know were keeping me stuck in a numb and maybe dark place.

There are so many other topics in this wonderful book that I can share with you at another time. ¬†But for now, because this is what is on my mind today, this is what is speaking to me. ¬†I love love this book and have read it many times. ¬†I go back still to get reminders. ¬†It always speaks to me. ¬†It’s like a good friend that always knows what to say when I need that encouragement and love.

I am so thankful for The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.  I hope you read it and that it inspires you as well.

Making The Best of Your Morning

Good Morning!

Best Morning -Yes, here you are with me this morning.

I appreciate it, thank you so much.

Best Morning-You know that moment when you wake up in the morning full of energy? Yeah, me neither.
Super Funny ! Had to share

 

I know how easy it is especially during Summer vacation to want to get right back into bed.  My daughter is off from school and we spend a lot of time at home, which I love.  My two daughters are truly the happiness in my soul.  So, when I know that they are off in sweet slumber still at 6 in the morning I want to do the same.

But let me tell you, if you can spend that time in the morning, in the quiet of the day, doing what you enjoy and being productive it will make your day so much better.

 

Make Your Bed

I have found that if I make my bed right away then I am less likely to get back into it and sleep away a few more hours. And let me tell you, my brand new bed is amazing and so comfortable :).

I have days that can be hectic with appointments, going to the park and doing home school learning and activities.  That one little action of making my bed will wake me up and get me going.  Of course, the cup of coffee that I get to enjoy is helpful as well. Once I am up and my body knows it, it is easier to get started with my brand new day.  The birds are outside chirping, happy and beautiful.  Good Morning sweet birds! Best Morning.

Now What? Move It!

So now that I’m up what do I do? ¬†Well, today for instance, I grabbed my cup of coffee, put on some workout gear and tennis shoes and did a quick 10 min Oxycise! workout. ¬†Let me tell you, this workout takes some getting used to because of the deep wonderful breathing. ¬†But once you get it, you will start feeling energized and alert. ¬†You will feel happy that you did something so good for yourself. ¬†And if you do it consistently you will see and feel your body tone up and your clothes become looser, whoohoo!

Of course, I don’t stick with one type of workout or exercise even though Oxycise! is one of my favorites. ¬†I like to switch it up, I do tend to get bored easily. ¬†Weight lifting I enjoy as well, mostly at home and thanks to Youtube there is plenty to keep me interested and motivated. Oh and how can I forget Zumba! I love love Zumba! But I prefer it in person, in a class dancing away with the rest of the zumbaers, is that a word? haha.

O.k., so, I have my heart pumping, my body and mind are awake and now it’s time for some work online and to get my blog going while my sweet little ones sleep some more. ¬†Once I am done, we of course have running around to do. ¬†We will have a wonderful day, especially because I made sure to start it this way, for me and especially, for them.

Get Well Soon

Feel Better

Get Well Soon.

How are you feeling¬†today? ¬†Have you been ill for a few days, weeks or maybe longer? You may have a lot going on in your life. Yes, it happens. And it happens to you, to me, to all of us. ¬†Doesn’t it seem like you are always running back and forth or that you are so busy? ¬†And as a result, you end up getting sick and don’t even know how.

Start the Healing

There are a few things that can help you start to heal.

  • Relax, slow down. Give yourself a little break. Lay down even if you only have a few minutes. When you are not feeling well you want that extra gentle care. And maybe even need others to be able to care for you. ¬†But most of the time that is not possible. But you know what? You can always take care of yourself. You can be there to be kind and show yourself the love you need so you can feel better.
  • Find the things on your to do list and the things that are not priority leave for another day when you are feeling better. It’s o.k. if those dishes don’t get done, they can wait. ¬†Maybe reach out and ask a loved one for help. ¬†I know for me it is hard because I want to do it all myself, my way. ¬†But it’s o.k. to do that when you need to heal. ¬†If it’s not done like you like it is fine. Don’t worry.
  • Another thing that I find helpful is using essential oils when I am feeling down or not as healthy as I would like. ¬†I like to use the essential oil Frankincense. ¬†I place it in my diffuser and the smell is so soothing. ¬†Frankincense can be helpful in fighting cold and flus. ¬†This essential oil is great at fighting pain that you may have as well as boosting your immune system. ¬†Read more about it here.¬†

Sometimes, your situation is that you are far away from your loved ones. ¬†That doesn’t mean that you are forgotten, though. You are still cared for, you are missed and you are always loved. ¬†If you are not around others that can help you then start by helping yourself. ¬†Let yourself get better.

Your body might be trying to tell you something. Maybe it’s time to try to slow down a bit. Most of all, you probably need to get a little rest, take a little break. It’s o.k. You need it. Get well. Give yourself that permission, because you are worthy and deserve it.
